About
Wayside House of Hamilton has been empowering substance-dependent men to lead purposeful lives of sobriety since 1967. A Ministry-funded, not-for-profit treatment centre, Wayside House serves adult men from across Ontario through an abstinence-based residential program and a continuum of transitional support.
Residential Treatment Program
Wayside House’s 10 to 12-week live-in program addresses personal treatment goals through group education, individual case management, and peer support. Participants explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that contribute to addiction, developing the tools and insight needed for lasting sobriety. The program treats alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid addictions.
Sober Living and Transitional Housing
Recognizing that recovery doesn’t end at discharge, Wayside House offers sober living and transitional housing options to support men in maintaining their recovery as they reintegrate into the community. These structured environments provide accountability and peer support during a critical transition period.
Outpatient and Forever Aftercare
Wayside House’s Forever Aftercare program provides ongoing outpatient support to graduates, helping men stay connected to their recovery community and navigate the challenges of sober living long after completing residential treatment.
