Turning Point Recovery Society

Turning Point Recovery Society is a non-profit addiction recovery organization serving Metro Vancouver and the North Shore, with residential programs located at 445 and 455 West 13th Avenue in Vancouver. Licensed under BC’s Community Care and Assisted Living Act, Turning Point provides transitional bed-based housing and community-based outreach programs grounded in the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. With locations across Vancouver, Richmond, North Vancouver, and Squamish, the society offers a continuum of recovery support from residential care through to long-term aftercare and community reintegration.

Twelve-Step Residential Recovery Programs

Turning Point’s residential programs offer 30- to 90-day transitional housing (with stays typically lasting three to five months) in safe, structured environments where recovery is integrated into daily life. The program is grounded in complete abstinence and a solid foundation in the Twelve Steps, providing a framework for lasting sobriety. Individual and group counselling, relapse prevention programming, and practical life skills training are all part of the residential experience. Gender-specific houses ensure men and women can focus on their recovery in supportive, like-minded communities.

Outreach, Aftercare, and Community Programs

Beyond residential care, Turning Point operates community-based programs that extend support into the broader community. Outreach counselling, drop-in services, and aftercare programming provide ongoing support for graduates and individuals who are not ready for or in need of residential treatment.
