Teen Challenge BC’s Chilliwack Men’s Centre is a long-term residential addiction recovery program for men, located at 4166 Eckert Street in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Part of the Adult & Teen Challenge global network, the centre provides a minimum 12-month residential program followed by an 18-month Successful Living aftercare component — one of the most comprehensive and extended recovery commitments available in the Fraser Valley. Grounded in Christian faith and a philosophy of transformation over mere treatment, the program helps men become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

Long-Term Residential Faith-Based Recovery

The Chilliwack Men’s Centre is designed for men who are ready to commit to deep, lasting change. The 12-month live-in program immerses residents in daily structured programming centred on Bible-based curriculum, individual and group support, and spiritual development. The guiding conviction is that genuine transformation — not just symptom management — is possible through Christ-centred recovery. The program addresses addiction to alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, opioids, and other substances, treating the whole person rather than focusing narrowly on the substance itself.

Community, Holistic Care, and Horse-Assisted Ministry

Teen Challenge BC integrates holistic approaches alongside its biblical foundation. The Love Reins horse-assisted ministry uses equine-facilitated activities to promote emotional healing, self-awareness, and personal growth — a powerful complement to traditional counselling for men with complex trauma histories. Shared living, communal meals, and dedicated counselling spaces create the stable, community-centred environment where recovery takes root. Men at the Chilliwack centre share the journey with peers, building authentic accountability relationships that sustain long-term sobriety well beyond graduation.
