Serenity House

Serenity House has been a cornerstone of addiction recovery in Ottawa since 1969, offering over five decades of dedicated service to men seeking to rebuild their lives. With a client-centred philosophy and a comprehensive continuum of care, Serenity House provides both residential treatment and transitional housing to support sustained recovery.

Nine-Week Inpatient Program

Serenity House operates a nine-week inpatient residential treatment program for men, delivered in a quiet Ottawa neighbourhood. The program is individualized, addressing alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid addictions through a holistic combination of counselling, life skills development, and peer support.

Transitional Housing

Following residential treatment, Serenity House offers 24 beds across three transitional homes in Ottawa. These sober living environments give men the structured, drug-free support they need to develop independent living skills and maintain their recovery before transitioning to permanent housing.

Outpatient and Community Support

Serenity House also provides outpatient and gender-specific programming, and connects clients to community resources including ConnexOntario for confidential health services information. With more than 50 years of service, Serenity House remains one of Ottawa’s most trusted names in addiction recovery.
