Round Lake Treatment Centre is a CARF-accredited Indigenous residential addiction treatment facility in Armstrong, British Columbia — nestled in the Okanagan Valley at 200 Emery Louis Road. Operating under the philosophy that “Culture Is Treatment,” Round Lake weaves First Nations cultural teachings, medicine wheel principles, and Elder-facilitated ceremony into every aspect of its residential and recovery programs. Culture as Treatment: Residential Programs

Round Lake’s core residential treatment program provides immersive inpatient care grounded in Indigenous cultural practices. Daily programming integrates cultural teachings and Elder guidance alongside individual and group counselling, holistic therapies, and trauma-informed support. The Refresher Program offers alumni a return to residential programming when they need additional support after completing initial treatment. The Recovery Lodge provides a transitional living environment for clients working toward reintegration. All residential programming is underpinned by the belief that reconnecting to cultural identity is essential for lasting recovery.

Colleagues Program and Family Support

The Colleagues Program supports professionals and individuals with workplace-related substance use concerns, offering a structured residential option that acknowledges the particular pressures and stigma that can accompany addiction in professional contexts. Family support services recognize that addiction affects everyone in a client’s circle — helping loved ones understand addiction, heal their own wounds, and build the supportive environment that sustains long-term recovery. Aftercare services maintain the connection between clients and the Round Lake community after discharge.
