About
Renfrew Victoria Hospital’s Addictions Treatment Service (ATS) provides confidential outpatient addiction counselling to individuals 12 years of age and older in the Renfrew and Ottawa Valley region of Ontario. ATS offers accessible, person-centred care for alcohol, drug, and gambling problems, welcoming self-referrals as well as referrals from health and social service professionals.
Comprehensive Outpatient Assessment and Treatment
The Addictions Treatment Service begins with a comprehensive assessment conducted by a trained counsellor, who works with the client to understand how alcohol, drugs, or gambling are affecting multiple areas of their life. Together, they develop a personalized Addiction Treatment Plan addressing alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid use.
Open Referral and Accessible Care
ATS accepts referrals from physicians, nurses, mental health workers, employers, union officials, judges, lawyers, and social service staff, as well as self-referrals. Services are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by calling the main office in Renfrew at 613-432-9855, or toll-free at 1-800-265-0197.
Regional Reach
The Addictions Treatment Service extends services to multiple communities throughout the Renfrew County and Ottawa Valley region, ensuring that residents in smaller and more remote communities have access to professional addiction care without traveling to larger urban centres.
