Mission Services of Hamilton is a not-for-profit social service agency providing compassionate, wraparound support to vulnerable individuals and families in Hamilton, Ontario. Through its Opportunity Centres and addiction services programming, Mission Services meets people where they are and provides the resources and care needed to support recovery and rebuild lives.

Addiction Services and Outpatient Support

Mission Services’ addiction programming offers outpatient services that address alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid dependencies. The approach is person-centred, meeting clients at different stages of readiness and providing a range of supports from brief counselling to structured outpatient programs.

Emergency and Housing Services

Mission Services operates low-barrier emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness, recognizing that housing stability is foundational to recovery. This integration of housing and addiction services reflects a whole-person approach to care.

Community Meals and Social Programs

For over 65 years, Mission Services has ensured Hamilton’s most vulnerable neighbours have access to healthy food through emergency food assistance and community meal programs. Skills-building, enrichment, and community kitchen programs further support participants in developing independence and self-sufficiency.
