Métis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan Inc. (MACSI) is a provincial, community-based addiction agency serving Métis and other individuals across Saskatchewan from locations in Prince Albert, Saskatoon, and Regina. MACSI works with service providers throughout the province to meet a range of addiction treatment needs through culturally responsive residential and outpatient programming.

Holistic Inpatient Residential Treatment

MACSI’s residential treatment centres in Prince Albert provide inpatient programming for adults dealing with alcohol, benzodiazepines, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid addictions. Programming integrates Métis cultural practices, traditional knowledge, and holistic healing approaches alongside evidence-based addiction treatment.

Medical Detox Services

MACSI offers medical detox as part of its residential continuum of care, providing safe, clinically supervised withdrawal management for individuals who require medical support through the acute phases of detoxification before entering residential programming.

Provincial Network and Referral System

As a provincial agency with multiple locations, MACSI coordinates with addiction service providers across Saskatchewan to facilitate referrals and ensure clients can access the right level of care. Prospective clients are required to access inpatient services through a referral process coordinated with provincial service providers.
