Mawiomi Treatment Services

Mawiomi Treatment Services is an Indigenous residential and outpatient addiction treatment centre located in Gesgapegiag, Quebec, serving Mi’gmaq and other First Nations communities in the Gaspésie region. Rooted in Mi’gmaq cultural traditions, Mawiomi provides a healing environment where Indigenous identity and community are central to the recovery journey.

Residential Inpatient Treatment

Mawiomi’s residential program provides structured inpatient care for adults dealing with alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid addictions. Programming integrates Mi’gmaq cultural practices, Elder guidance, and traditional teachings alongside evidence-informed clinical treatment, supporting healing of the whole person.

Outpatient and Community Services

In addition to residential treatment, Mawiomi offers outpatient services for community members who are managing their recovery at home or stepping down from residential care. Community-based programming ensures that ongoing support is accessible within clients’s home communities.
