Maison Decision House

Maison Decision House (MDH) is a non-profit, community-based residential treatment centre in Ottawa, Ontario, founded in 1979. MDH provides structured addiction recovery programming for adult male offenders and individuals returning to community, offering a supportive residential environment regardless of race or religion.

Residential Treatment for Men

MDH’s gender-specific inpatient residential program addresses alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid addictions through structured group programming, individual counselling, and practical life skills training. The residential model provides the stability and peer support that men returning to community life need to sustain their recovery.

Community Reintegration Focus

A distinguishing feature of Maison Decision House is its focus on community reintegration. Programming supports participants in rebuilding their lives — including housing, employment, and community connections — while addressing the underlying addiction and behavioural patterns that contributed to their circumstances.

Outpatient Support

MDH also provides outpatient programming to support individuals who do not require full residential admission, or as a step-down service following residential treatment. This flexible continuum of care ensures that support is available at every stage of the recovery journey.
