About
Last Door’s Adult Program is an Accreditation Canada-certified residential addiction treatment program for men 19 and over, based in New Westminster, BC. Built on the belief that “connection is the solution to addiction,” Last Door uses an integrated community social model that emphasizes peer relationships, meaningful human connection, and shared experience as the foundation of recovery. The 90-day program combines medical detox, residential treatment, and continuing care with access to Keystone Retreat — a 40-acre rural property in Mission, BC — creating a uniquely comprehensive treatment experience that draws men from across North America.
Medical Detox and Comprehensive Residential Treatment
For men requiring medical stabilization, Last Door offers a private five-day medical detox and a 10-day Intro to Addiction Recovery program as entry points to treatment. The 90-day main residential program integrates weekly individual and group therapy, symptom management, meditation, acupuncture, nutrition and fitness guidance, 12-step and self-help integration, spirituality exploration, and medication review. Co-occurring mental health conditions — including PTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety, and ADHD — are treated alongside addiction by a multidisciplinary team that includes certified addiction physicians and clinical supervisors.
Keystone Retreat and Community Living
Last Door’s treatment extends beyond its urban New Westminster base to Keystone Retreat, a 40-acre property in Mission, BC that provides wilderness-connected programming, outdoor therapy, and a recovery community grounded in nature. The social model means that residents live and recover together — building the authentic peer relationships and community bonds that research consistently identifies as critical to long-term sobriety. A strong alumni network spanning North America means that the community built at Last Door extends well beyond discharge.
Family Programs and Continuing Care
Last Door recognizes that addiction affects the entire family. A 4-day Family Enhancement Program — with complimentary family suites — brings loved ones into the recovery process in a structured, supportive way. Parents, Partners, and Friends groups provide ongoing family support. After the primary program, continuing care and aftercare planning maintain the therapeutic connection and help men navigate the transition back to work, relationships, and independent living. The Return to Work Treatment Program serves professionals navigating addiction alongside career responsibilities.
