Centre de Readaptation Ubald-Villeneuve

Centre de Réadaptation en Dépendance de Québec (Ubald-Villeneuve) is the only public health and social services establishment exclusively dedicated to addiction treatment in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, operating under the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale. Serving youth and adults dealing with alcohol, drug, and gambling dependencies, the centre provides specialized residential rehabilitation, intensive outpatient, and social reintegration services from its location in Quebec City.

Specialized Addiction Rehabilitation

Centre Ubald-Villeneuve provides inpatient residential and intensive outpatient (IOP) programming for individuals dealing with alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid addictions, as well as gambling disorders. The centre’s mission encompasses specialized adaptation, rehabilitation, community integration, and social reintegration services — addressing the full continuum of recovery, not just the acute treatment phase.

Dual Diagnosis and Family Programming

Approximately half of the centre’s clientele presents co-occurring mental health conditions alongside their addiction, and programming is designed to address this complexity. In partnership with Quebec Youth Centre and university institutes, the centre has developed specialized programs including services for young parents, ensuring that families affected by addiction receive integrated, coordinated support.

Regional Addiction Leadership

As the sole specialized public addiction rehabilitation centre in Capitale-Nationale, Centre Ubald-Villeneuve serves as a hub for addiction treatment and referrals across Quebec City and surrounding communities. The centre collaborates with mental health, primary care, and community partners to develop new integrated treatment models for clients with concurrent dependence and mental health challenges, advancing addiction care in the region.
