Brock Cottage

Brock Cottage is a long-term residential addiction treatment home for men in Brockville, Ontario, operated by Leeds, Lanark and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH). With 18 beds and an average program length of five to seven months, Brock Cottage provides an abstinence-based, therapeutic community environment where men can build the foundation for lasting recovery from alcohol and substance use disorders.

Long-Term Residential Treatment for Men

Brock Cottage’s residential program is designed for men 19 years and older who are committed to abstinence-based recovery. Clients participate in structured group sessions Monday through Friday covering biopsychosocial and spiritual dimensions of recovery, relapse prevention, and life skills development. The therapeutic community model means that the rhythms and relationships of daily residential life itself become instruments of healing and personal growth.

Holistic Recovery Programming

Programming at Brock Cottage integrates individual counselling, peer support, communication skills training, and mutual aid participation alongside formal group therapy. Daily house duties and shared community responsibilities help clients develop accountability, self-efficacy, and practical life skills that support long-term sobriety. The extended residential format allows for deeper personal work than shorter programs permit.

LLGAMH Network and Community Integration

As part of the Leeds, Lanark and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health network, Brock Cottage connects clients with the full range of LLGAMH services across the region — including outpatient counselling, housing assistance, family support, psychiatric services, and vocational programming. This network ensures a smooth transition from residential care back into community life with comprehensive continuing support.
