Amethyst Women's Addiction Centre

Amethyst Women’s Addiction Centre is a non-residential addiction treatment centre in Ottawa, Ontario, offering specialized outpatient programs for women struggling with substance use and gambling. With a client-centred philosophy that respects each woman’s goals — whether moderation or abstinence — Amethyst provides culturally inclusive, trauma-informed care in a welcoming environment.

Outpatient Day Programs for Women

Amethyst offers non-residential day programs that provide structured addiction care without requiring clients to leave their homes and communities. Programming addresses alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioid use, as well as gambling addiction, through individual counselling, group therapy, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization options.

Women-Centred, Inclusive Care

Services are available in both English and French, reflecting Amethyst’s commitment to serving Ottawa’s diverse population with culturally appropriate, gender-responsive care.
